1. Run the setup program.

2. Set a password for your account of GiliSoft Privacy Protector.

For example: Password: 12345678.

3. Then follow the prompts to complete installation.

[Tip]
1.Be sure to remember your password or keep it in a safe place,because you can not run this program without it.
2.The email address is optional,but if you type it,you can retrieve the forgotten password.

1. Click "Uninstall GiliSoft Privacy Protector *.*".



2. Enter uninstall password .


For example: Password:12345678.
3.Click the OK button to continue the uninstall progress.

[Tip]
1.If you uninstall the progtam,the locked data will not be protected.
2.Before uninstalling the program,please backup the data on private disk into your safe place.

One Way:Use main window.

1. Click "GiliSoft Privacy Protector *.*" to start the program.


2. Enter password and click "OK" button.

For example: password: 12345678.

3.Using the Hide Data options you can select and hide any of the files, folders and drives present on your PC.

3.1 Hide Files:
1)Select Hide Files options
2) Click "Add Files" button to add files to the list.
3) Select the files you want to hide.
4) Click "Hide Files" button to complete hiding documents.
3.2 Hide Folders:
1)Select Hide Folders options
2) Click "Add Folders" button to add fodler to the list.
3) Select the folders you want to hide.
4) Click "Hide Folders" button to complete hiding folder.
3.3 Hide Drives:
1)Select Hide Drives options
2) Select the drives you want to hide.
3) Click "Hide Drives" button to complete hiding drives.

Other Way:Use explorer contextmenu.

1. Right-click the file/folder/drive which you want to hide.
2. Click menu item "Gili Privacy Protector->Hide it" .
3. Enter password to finish hiding the data.

Using the Hide Data options you can select and show any of hidden files, folders and drives present on your PC.

2)Select the hidden files you want to show.
3) Click "Show Files" button to show these hidden documents.

1)Select Hide Folders options
2)Select the hidden folders you want to show.
3) Click "Show Folders" button to show the hidden folders.
Show Hidden Drives:
1)Select Hide Drives options
2) Select the hidden drives you want to show.
3) Click "Show Drives" button to show the hidden drives.

Using the Lock Data options you can select and lock any of the files, folders and drives present on your PC.

Using the Lock Data options you can select and unlock any of locked files, folders and drives present on your PC.

Using the General->password options you can change the password of GiliSoft Privacy Protector or your E-Mail address for retrieving password.


To retrieve the password,you can click Retrieve Password button,the password will be sent into your e-mail box.

1. Double click the locked folder or drive.

2. Enter the password of GiliSoft Privacy Protector.


For example: password: 12345678.

[Tip]
After accesing the locked data,please close the explorer window as soon.As you know,the data will be protected again.

Using the Safe Delete options you can select and safely delete any of files on your PC.

Using the Safe Delete->Wipe disks->Clean Free Space function, you can safely delete the free space on your disk.

Using the Private Disk options you can open,browse,close your private disk.

[Tip]
1.If you want to uninstall GiliSoft Privacy Protector,please backup the data on private disk into your safe place.

Using the Erase History options you can clean up all traces of your computer activity.
