Why Can't I Remove Logo from Video?

Video logos can be harder to remove than they look. A corner logo may be burned into the frames, semi-transparent, animated, close to subtitles, or placed over moving detail. GiliSoft ClipMark helps you choose the right cleanup workflow for videos you own or have permission to edit.

Why Logo Removal Fails

  • The logo is burned into the video. There is no separate logo layer to delete once the mark is part of every frame.
  • The logo is semi-transparent. Transparent marks mix with background colors, making clean reconstruction harder.
  • The corner content changes. Scene cuts, camera movement, and animated backgrounds can make one cleanup area unreliable.
  • The logo touches important content. Logos near faces, product names, subtitles, or UI text may leave visible artifacts.
  • The tool only blurs the mark. Blur can hide the logo but leave a visible patch or soft box after export.
Only remove or modify logos on videos you created, licensed, purchased, or have permission to edit.

What to Check First

  • Does the logo stay in one place through the whole clip?
  • Does it overlap moving subjects, captions, or important frame detail?
  • Is a clean removal needed, or would updated branding over the old mark be acceptable?

How ClipMark Helps

  • Clean video logos with a workflow built for moving footage, not just still images.
  • Start with fast cleanup for simple logo positions and move to AI cleanup for harder frames.
  • Keep more of the original frame when crop-only fixes would damage the composition.
  • Prepare cleaned clips for rebranding, republishing, localization, or archive reuse.

When Results May Be Limited

  • The logo covers essential text or faces for a long part of the video.
  • The source file is very low resolution or heavily compressed.
  • The mark changes shape, opacity, or location many times across the timeline.
